Benecaid Health Benefit Solutions Inc. is a Toronto based financial services company. It was founded in November 2000 by a group of business owners dissatisfied with the Health Benefit Plans available for small businesses. Believing that there "had to be a better way", we spent three years with lawyers, accountants and CCRA representatives to develop a unique alternative to traditional benefit offerings.

Utilizing Health Spending Accounts (found in Canada's Income Tax Act), Benecaid is able to provide flexible benefit solutions - giving self-employed individuals and business owners the ability to customize a benefit plan to meet their specific health and financial needs.

Benecaid acts as the "Plan Administrator", ensuring that all transactions made through Health Spending Accounts adhere to government regulations. Benecaid's Health Spending Accounts are overseen by two independent trustees, who insure that Benecaid maintains the highest level of safety and security possible. Benecaid has retained CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services Company to hold all assets in the Benecaid Plans in a custodial account.

ClaimSecure, a leader in providing customers with accurate, online drug claims processing, has proven invaluable in helping us develop the Benecaid Drug Card. The Benecaid Drug Card allows Benecaid clients to access prescription drugs from any of the 55,000 pharmacies in North America, including more than 6,800 in Canada.

Our alliance with Trent Health Insurance Services Corporation lets us provide our clients with the option of extended health care coverage. Trent Health is a recognized leader in the health insurance industry. Drawing upon their expertise allowed us to create the Benecaid Trust Protection Plan.

In July 2003, Benecaid Health Benefit Solutions Inc. was selected as the benefit company of choice by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA).
